Echidna

Origin: Greek mythology

Type: Half nymph, half-snake

Habitat: A cave below Mount Edna

Echidna, meaning ‘she-viper’, is known as he Mother of All Monsters. She is described described as being ageless with bright eyes and fair cheeks.

She and her mate Typhon have given birth to many creatures in Greek myths. She herself was born from the union between Tartarus, one of the original forces from which the Cosmos was born, and Gaia, the Earth itself in goddess form.
